Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it clear that the era of lockdowns has come to an end and it was time for unlocking India. He was reponding to a request made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to clarify on the issue amidst speculations of reimposing lockdown in the country.
“There will be no more lockdowns as the four phases of lockdown has ended. We are currently under Unlock 1.0 phase and we must together discuss on implementing Unlock 2.0 for further action,” the Prime Minister said, during his video conference with the Chief Ministers on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandrashekhar Rao cited speculations over reimposing lockdown in the country and said people were anticipating fresh round of lockdown whenever the Prime Minister was scheduled to address the media. “I have been explaining that you (the Prime Minister) will not take such decisions without consulting all the Chief Ministers. However, we request you to clarify on this issue,” he urged.
