ACP Rajendranagar Is Enquiry Officer On Moinabad Incident: Home Minister

Hyderabad: Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Minister for Home convened a meeting with regard to Moinabad incident at his chamber on Tuesday. V.C.Sajjanar , Commissioner of Police, Prakash Reddy, D.C.P, Samshabad, Ashok Chakravarthy, ACP, Rajendranagar of Cyberabad Commissionerate attended the meeting.
Home Minister enquired in detail regarding the death of the woman on which a case has been registered at Moinabad Police Station. Officers explained the Home Minister that based on the statement of victim’s sister, the Police altered the sections of law & the accused Bathuku Madhusudhan @ Madhu Yadav has already been arrested under Nirbhaya Act and Child Labour Law and sent to Judicial Custody. They said the accused was reported to be a Rowdy Sheeter having criminal history of involvement in 3 cases.
Since it is a death of a young and poor woman of age about 20 years, Home Minister instructed the Commissioner of Police to get the case investigated into in all angles thoroughly and immediate necessary action as per law. Police officers said the investigation into all aspects is already going on and Ashok Chakravarthy, ACP, Rajendra Nagar has been appointed as enquiry officer. Home Minister directed that thorough investigation is done and report submitted at the earliest.
He reiterated that Telangana Government maintains Zero Tolerance in the Women and Child related cases and is taking stringent action against the accused. Home Minister reminds that earlier, the trial in certain sensational cases in the Commissionerates of Warangal and Rachakonda, the investigation was completed very fast and the accused were sentenced by the courts by conducting speedy trials in a very few days. In the instant issue also, Home Minister said, all efforts are taken to ensure speedy trial in the case and to invoke PD Act against the accused.
