Monetary Flood relief can be deposited in banks: SEC
Hyderabad, Nov.17 (Maxim News): The State Election Commission (SEC) today made it clear that the monetary flood relief being given to the victims of the recent floods in GHMC limits can be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
It asked the state government to extend the relief as per the existing rules .It said that the state government had disbursed ₹55 crore of the monetary flood relief on Monday alone. It said that the state government could extend the relief to all those who didn’t get it so far.
Victims make beeline at mee-Seva Centers:
On the other hand, scores of the victims of the floods are making a beeline at the mee-seva Centers of the city to apply online for the flood relief. They are forming a long queues waiting for their turn to apply at the mee-seva Centers.
The victims are turning up at the mee-seva Centers as early as 6 am in the morning and are waiting till the night to complete their application process. Several victims have turned up at a mee-sev Center located in Chandannagar division today.
The women, old age people and children are seen in hoards at these Centers. Massive queue lines are also witnessed at Amberpet, Golnaka, Seethaphalmandi, Sanathnagar, Marredpally, Addagutta, LB Nagar, Vanasthalipuram and Sherlingampally areas.
The state government is transferring an amount of ₹10,000 to the bank accounts of the victims on the following day of submitting their applications. (Maxim News)
