Andhra Pradesh To Likely Recieve Rains Due To Cyclone Nivar Effect
The low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal is going to turn into deep depression and expected to turn into Cyclone due to which, rains forecasted in Tamil Nadu from November 25. The cyclone was named as Nivar. It is currently moving towards the northern Tamil Nadu coast. The meteorological officials said that the low pressure area will turn into an deep depression in 24 hours and then into cyclone in another 24 hours. It is expected to cross the coast on the afternoon of November 25 near Karaikal and Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu, meteorological officials said. Heavy rains are expected in most parts of Tamil Nadu from November 25.
A cyclone alert has been issued for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in view of the cyclone. Since November 22, fishermen have been issued warnings not to go fishing. Mainly from 22nd to 25th November, the sea will be turbulent due to the storm. Under no circumstances have they asked to go into the Bay of Bengal. Fishermen in Andhra Pradesh also went to fishing, he said.
Tamil Nadu government, officials are taking precautionary measures against the storm.
Due to this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rains, thunder and lightning on the north coastal Andhra Pradesh and heavy rains are likely in Nellore district. There is also expected slight rains in the various parts of the state.
