Cyberabad Police And SCSC Celebrate International Women’s Day
Hyderabad, March 5 (Maxim News): Cyberabad Police and Society for Cyberabad Security Council today celebrated International Women’s Day at Tech Mahindra in the city.
It was a hybrid event—in person and online. The even was telecast on Zoom and streamed live on Facebook. Five hundred people participated in the celebrations.
Theme for the celebration was the United Nations theme ‘Choose to Challenge’.
The Chief National Badminton Coach Pullela Gopichand was the Chief Guest and Indian Badminton Player Ms. Mansi Joshi was the Guest of Honour at the celebrations.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar and DCP of Women and Children Safety Wing Anasuya, the Secretary General of SCSC Krishna Yedula and others took part in the event.
Speaking on the occasion Cyberabad CP said that There was no world without women.
Stating that a Lot of people talk about women empowerment, he said that Pullela Gopichand had put it in practice by setting up an academy in order to turn them into champions.
Commenting on the theme, he said that his challenge as Commissioner of Police was to see that women work in all the verticals of Police in Cyberabad Commissionerate.
Pullela Gopichand said that Gender Equality was under-rated and added that Indian culture taught them how to respect women while noting that it has ingrained from their childhood.
He said that his wife felt secured to travel back from the airport to home thanks to the She Team.
He said that the Best performers so far in sporting world like Badminton had been women. (Maxim News)
