Hyderabad, Sept. 3: The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain and thundershowers in Hyderabad and parts of Telangana over the next three to four days.
Cloud cover has increased across several parts of the twin cities and neighbouring districts. However, the chances of heavy to very heavy rainfall remain low due to the absence of a major low pressure system.
Hyderabad Rain Forecast Remains Light Till Sept 7
The IMD Hyderabad forecast indicates that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at several locations across Hyderabad and Telangana.
The showers may also bring strong surface winds of 30 to 40 kmph in isolated areas, according to the weather department.
A similar pattern of light to moderate rain and windy conditions is expected to continue until September 7.
Meanwhile, Telangana has recorded a rainfall deficit during the current monsoon season. Between June 1 and September 2, the state received 466.6 mm of rain against the normal 587.2 mm.
This marks a 21 percent rainfall deficit, placing Telangana in the deficient rainfall category, according to the IMD Hydromet Division in New Delhi.
