No restrictions on height of Ganesh idols

Hyderabad, August 28: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said there were no restrictions on the height of idols to be installed for the Ganesh festivities, which commence from September 10. The festivities conclude on September 19.

At a meeting to discuss arrangements for festivities here on Saturday, the Minister said depending on the feasibility in respective areas, youth associations should install the idols.

“If there was any inconvenience from police in this regard, youth associations can approach the Government. Stern action will be initiated against such officials,” said Srinivas Yadav.

Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP Mahender Reddy, Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi members, youth associations’ representatives from different areas participated in the meeting.
