Hyderabad, Oct.31 (Maxim News): State BJP leaders today lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the state Shashank Goel in the wake of news reports that the VVPATs were illegally transported by officials after the Huzurabad by-elections.
The delegation of the BJP which called on the CEO comprised of DK Aruna, Raja Singh, N. Ramchandra Rao.
In their complaint, they urged the CEO to order a detailed inquiry in the issue . They alleged that that the ruling TRS party was missing its power . They urged the CEO to make full proof arrangements on the day of counting at the counting center.
Later speaking to media persons, DK Aruna alleged that the ruling party leaders had distributed ₹6000 per vote to the voters of Huzurabad in the by-elections.
She asked the ruling party leaders as to why they distributed so much money of they had implemented several welfare programs for the welfare of the people of the state.
She alleged that the TRS leaders tried to change the VVPATS as they were scared of losing in the by-elections. (Maxim News)
