KCR Emphasizes Achieving 33 Percent Green Cover In The State
Hyderabad, Nov.28 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will hold a cabinet meeting on Monday at Pragati Bhavan at 2 pm to discuss about Paddy row, Yasangi crops, and alternative measures.
The meeting gets importance as the centre denied to its demands of raising crops limit and fixing yearly target of paddy procurement.
The state government has been demanding the centre to get more paddy, parboiled rice, and Yasangi yield and made repeated appeals.
However the centre refused the same and clarified that it will procure as usual and offer previous MSP. KCR reportedly discussed on Sunday about the same with ministers and Officials to come up with a strategy on Monday after the Cabinet.
He is expected to announce future plan of the government on paddy, alternative crops plan, and steps to support the farmers to follow suit.
According to information the state government is to raise its voice in the parliament to mount pressure on the centre.
KCR had in recent past stated in Delhi for four days on the same issue. Though he preferred to stay away, as per his directions, ministers met with union minister Piyush Goyal and mounted pressure to concede to state demands.
Goyal did not give any expected response as the centre later informed to procure paddy stocks to some extent.
Unhappy at this the chief minister has expressed discontent and planning to mount pressure.
He asked the MPs to raise the same in the parliament session beginning Monday.
The centre is to cancel three farm acts in the parliament as promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During cabinet meeting, KCR will take a decision about paddy row, Yasangi, alternative crops and related action in all districts.
