Uttam slams Center on paddy procurement

Hyderabad, Dec.28 (Maxim News): Congress party MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy today slammed the Central government and alleged that the BJP led central government was in hand glove with the ruling TRS party in the state on the issue of paddy procurement from farmers. He said that the ruling TRS party had extended its support to the BJP led central government on the every issue.

He alleged that both BJP and the TRS ruled the country and the state for seven years with the help of their secret agreement. He alleged that the TRS party had extended its support to the Central government for the privatization of state owned Singareni collieries company limited in an indirect manner. He alleged that the central government was planning to privatize Kothagudem, Sattupally and Shrawanpally and Kaylan bocks of coal mines. He said that Union Coal Mines Minister Prahlad Joshi said that they would have a second thought on the issue. Commenting on the procurement of paddy in the state, he said that the farmers would teach a befitting lessons to the TRS party.

He asked the CM as to how he would make a sudden announcement to not procure paddy from the farmers after procuring 92 lakh metric tonnes from them in the past. He asked the CM to name the alternative crops to be cultivated by the farmers. (Maxim News)
