Woman and her lover arrested for killing her husband
A woman and her lover were arrested for killing her husband in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. As per Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Kanpur, Manish Sonkar, the woman killed her husband, later identified as Kallu (32), with her paramour as the victim objected to the illicit relationship.
Last week, police found the body of the victim lying near a forest area at Nirala Nagar railway ground in Govindnagar. The upper part of the body was eaten by the wild animals and police also discovered a mobile phone in the deceased’s pocket.
When the woman was questioned about Kallu’s death, she told the police that Kallu had left for work and informed her that he would return home late at night. She told the police that she kept calling him when he failed to return home at 9 pm.
WOMAN MISLEADS POLICE
“When I called him again in the morning, a policeman picked up the phone and informed me about the incident,” she had said.
Police said that the woman’s lover tried to destroy the face of the victim by hitting him with a brick, which was recovered from the crime scene. According to police, the woman had accused her husband of being a drunkard and also claimed that four people were involved in Kallu’s murder to misguide the investigation.
Initially, police launched an investigation, assuming that the victim had committed suicide, but with the recovery of the body after three days of the murder, the crime unfolded.
The woman and her lover used to talk over the phone for long hours, which her husband used to oppose. Later on, the duo hatched a conspiracy and murdered the man by cutting the veins of his hand with a blade.
