Revanth Reddy, Shabbir Ali house arrested | Hyderabad police has house arrested Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Revanth Reddy and several other leaders on Thursday to prevent him to seize the Civil Supplies Bhavan and Vidyut Soudha

Several Telangana Congress leaders in Hyderabad who called on for the protests against the hike in electricity charges and fuel prices in the state.

TPCC president Revanth Reddy and party state working president Mahesh Kumar Goud, senior leaders Shabbir Ali, Mallu Ravi, Dasoju Shravan, Harkara Venugopal, Bakka Judson and Nagesh Mudiraj and others were house arrested.

Police have taken precautionary measures in this regard following his call for the siege of Vidyut Soudha and Civil Supplies Bhavan today.

Police were deployed in large numbers at his residence in Jubilee Hills in the wake of the Revanth House arrest.

It is to mention here that as part of a nationwide campaign against rising fuel prices and the latest power tariff hike in the State, Congress activists staged demonstrations in front of Collectorates across the State. Later they submitted representations to the district Collectors.

Earlier, TPCC president A Revanth Reddy held virtual meetings with district leaders. He called upon the leaders to continue the fight till the State and Union governments reduce the prices.

Revanth Reddy said that Congress would fight untill the government reduces fuel prices, electricity charges and procurement of paddy.
