Bid to create communal violence will be dealt with iron hand: KTR

Hyderabad, April 19 (Maxim News): IT & Industries Minister K T Rama Rao today reiterated that the TRS government will not entertain the communal violence and stern action would be initiated against those who are trying to create communal tension in the State.

KTR, who took part in various development programs taken up at a cost of Rs 495 crore under the Hyderabad Parliamentary constituency on Tuesday, said the State government was giving top priority to the law and order and any attempts by the persons, elements to disturb the peace and harmony should be dealt with firmly and the anti-social elements should be crushed with an iron hand. The Minister pointed out that after the formation of Telangana State, no single report of the communal violence has been reported in Hyderabad and the entire State has been peaceful under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

“Once upon a time, the Hyderabad city used to witness curfew five to six times a year and the communal riots were the order of the day. Now, the situation has completely changed in Telangana and police are given a free hand to deal with the anti-social elements, KTR said and added that the State government would deal with any attempt to create a communal rift with an iron hand.

The Minister said the TRS government has taken up the unprecedented development activities, including construction of flovers, widening of roads and providing drinking water to all the households in the old city and about Rs 495 crore works are going on only in the Hyderabad Parliamentary constituency.
