Governor launches Raj Bhavan School Magazine

Hyderabad, May 17 (Maxim News):  Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Tuesday released the Raj Bhavan School Magazine at a special function held at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan, here.

The magazine is a compilation of the literary and art works of the primary and higher secondary students of the school.

Releasing the magazine, the Governor exhorted the students to pursue their passion in literature and art besides focusing on their studies.

“Extra-curricular activities are very important for the all-round development of the students at the school level and they need to be encouraged to pursue their passions besides their regular studies,” she added.

The Governor also recalled her school and colleges days, when she used to actively contribute for the school and college magazines.

Referring to the AzadikaAmritMahotsav celebrations, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan suggested the students to read and know more about our freedom fighters and their struggles and sacrifices for the freedom of the country.

“Knowing more about our freedom fighters and the independence movement, the students would better understand and value the freedom of the country,” she said.

The Governor appreciated the students for their literary and art work contribution to the school magazine and had instructed the Raj Bhavan officials to continue to implement the Raj Bhavan Annam, the free breakfast for the Raj Bhavan School students so as to improve the students’ nutritional status.

Secretary to Governor K. Surendra Mohan, senior officials of the Raj Bhavan, Deputy DEO Chiranjeevi, teachers and other staff members, and the students of the school were among others who were present. (Maxim news)
