Girls outshine boys in Telangana Intermediate exams
Hyderabad, June 28: Girls outperformed boys in the Telangana Intermediate examinations, with over 65% of pupils passing, according to results released on Tuesday.
5,91,836 (65.19%) of the 9,07,787 pupils who took the Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) first and second years (11th and 12th standards) last month qualified.
First-year intermediate pass rates were 63.32 percent, and second-year intermediate pass rates were 67.82 percent.
The AIPE results for both the first and second years were announced by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE).
In front of TSBIE representatives, state education minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy announced the results.
Girls outperformed boys in terms of pass rates in both first and second year. In the first year of Intermediate, 72.33% of females and 54.25% of boys passed the exam.
In the second year, girls passed with a pass percentage of 75.28, while boys passed with a pass percentage of 59.11%.
With 76 and 78 pass percentages in the first and second years, respectively, Medchal Malkajgiri led all districts. In the first year, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district came in second with a pass percentage of 76%, while Hanamkonda district came in second with a pass percentage of 74%.
According to TSBIE, the results are accessible via examresults.ts.nic.in, results.cgg.gov.in, and tsbie.cgg.gov.in.
The testing period was May 6 to May 24. From March 23 to April 8, the practical tests were given.
While practical tests will take place from July 26 to July 30, the advanced supplemental theory exams will be administered from August 1 to August 10 in two sessions.
In order to assist students in overcoming any issue linked to stress, strain, tension, anxiety, nervousness, etc., TSBIE has hired the services of nine clinical psychologists.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the intermediate exams could not be held the previous year.
