HYDRAA Receives Fresh Contempt Notices From High Court

Hyderabad, May 7: HYDRAA receives fresh contempt notices after the High Court took serious note of alleged violations during demolition activities in Ameenpur mandal of Sangareddy district.

The petitioners informed the court that HYDRAA officials violated earlier court directions related to maintaining status quo in the Ailapur area. According to the petition, the High Court had issued orders in 2004 restraining demolition activities in the disputed land.

HYDRAA receives fresh contempt notices in demolition case

During the hearing, the High Court issued contempt notices to HYDRAA Commissioner and other officials concerned with the demolition exercise. Notices were also served to the Sangareddy District Collector and Ameenpur police authorities.

The petitioners alleged that authorities carried out demolition activities despite existing court protections. Therefore, they requested the court to initiate contempt proceedings against the officials involved.

The latest development has once again brought HYDRA’s demolition drives under legal scrutiny. In recent months, several demolition actions carried out by the agency triggered political and legal debates across Telangana.
