TiE Hyderabad President Murali Kakarla said the initiative aims to expand women entrepreneurship across Telangana. Moreover, he announced that women founders can pitch their startup ideas in Telugu for the first time.
He stated that language should not become a barrier for participation. Therefore, TiE Hyderabad will conduct Telugu mentoring and pitching sessions for women entrepreneurs.
Dr Murali Bukkapatnam, Immediate Past Chairman of TiE Global Board of Trustees, said entrepreneurship remains incomplete without women’s participation. He stressed the need to increase women’s contribution to the economy.
Meanwhile, TiE Hyderabad plans to conduct roadshows in Tier 2 cities including Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Khammam. The organisation aims to attract around 200 applicants this year through statewide outreach programmes.
Ankit Sanjay Shah, TiE Women Committee Chair, said the programme collaborates with more than 60 TiE chapters globally. He added that participating startups receive mentorship, networking opportunities, investor connects, and entrepreneurial guidance.
Officials said TiE Hyderabad has already mentored more than 600 women entrepreneurs. In addition, the initiative facilitated over 352,000 dollars in equity free grants for startups.
The event also featured a panel discussion titled “Future is Female” with entrepreneurs and industry leaders discussing opportunities for women led startups.
