India logs 14,506 new Covid cases, 30 deaths

New Delhi, 29 June: According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Affairs, India reported 14,506 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, a significant increase from the previous day’s count of 11,793. During the same time period, the country reported 30 more Covid deaths, bringing the total to 5,25,077.

The country’s active caseload has also increased to 99,602, accounting for 0.23 percent of total positive cases. The recovery of 11,574 patients in the last 24 hours increased the total to 4,28,08,666. As a result, India’s recovery rate is 98.56 percent.

Meanwhile, India’s daily positivity rate has risen to 3.35 percent, with the weekly positivity rate at 3.30 percent. During the same time period, a total of 4,33,659 tests were carried out across the country, bringing the total to over 86.19 crore.

As of Wednesday morning, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage had surpassed 197.46 crore, with 2,56,78,429 sessions completed. Since the start of the vaccination campaign for this age group, over 3.65 crore adolescents have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
