Traffic arrangements for devotees at Golconda during Bonalu pujas

Hyderabad: In view of the Sri Jagadamba Mahankali Golconda Bonalu celebrations 2022, a large number of devotees are expected to attend the celebrations from all over the city of Hyderabad and surrounding villages on the following dates from 8 am to 11 pm.

First puja will be held on June 30, second puja on July 3, third puja on July 7, fourth puja on July 10, fifth puja on July 14, sixth puja on July 17, seventh puja on July 21, eighth puja on July 24 and ninth puja on July 28.

Accordingly, heavy traffic congestion is expected at the following three routes leading to the Golconda Fort.

They are: Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort (via) Makkai Darwaza, Langar Houz to Golconda Fort (via) Fateh Darwaza and Shaikpet Nala, Seven Tombs to Golconda Fort (via) Banjara Darwaza.

In view of the pujas, the commuters using the above roads are advised to take alternative routes in order to avoid inconvenience on the above mentioned dates from 8 am to 11 pm.

Parking arrangements:

The following are the parking arrangements made for the convenience of the devotees attending Bonalu celebrations at Golconda fort:

The devotees coming from Ramdevguda side towards Golconda Fort via Makkai Darwaza are requested to park their two-wheeler vehicles from the stretch of Ashoorkhana to Military Sentry point, whereas the four wheelers shall park at Ashoorkhana Parking Place and Military Ground opposite AOC Center Ramdevguda.

The devotees coming from Langar Houz towards Golconda Fort are requested to park their two and three-wheeler vehicles in HUDA Park, whereas four-wheeler vehicles should be parked at the Owaisi Ground or Football/Boys ground by entering Fateh Darwaza and taking right turn of Al-Rahman Medical Hall and proceed to the Parking places.

The devotees coming from Shaikpet, Seven Tombs towards Golconda Fort are requested to park their two and three wheeler vehicles at Priyadarshini School, Area Hospital and Golconda Bus Stop, whereas four wheeler vehicles shall proceed from Banjara Darwaza by taking left turn towards Golconda Police Station road and park their vehicles at Foot Ball/Boys Ground or Owaisi Ground.

The devotees are requested to park their vehicles at designated parking places only and maintain line system at parking places and the commuters are also requested to take alternative routes to reach their destinations to avoid traffic congestion and co-operate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
