Telangana saved lives of crores of Covid patients in the world: PM Modi

Hyderabad: Heaping lavish praises on Telangana State for playing a very important role during corona pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the State had saved the lives of several crores of people of the world by producing vaccine for the deadly corona virus during the global pandemic of the virus.

“Telangana is known for research and development activities. It produced the corona vaccines and helped crores of people from across the world to protect their lives by taking the vaccine shots,” Modi said.

Addressing at public meeting of the party held at Parade grounds in Secunderabad, the Prime Minister said the people of Telangana were known for their hard work and dedication and added that the State also has a rich culture and heritage to boast. He said the BJP was gaining strength in the State since the 2019 general elections and added that the people of the State had realised that the rule by a double engine government would alone help them find solutions to their problems.

Stating that his government has given a lot of importance for the development of the women of the country, he said out of the 45 crore Jan Dhan bank accounts opened by his government, 80 percent were in the name of the women including more than 50 lakh bank accounts from the Telangana State. He said his party would work hard day in and day out in fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of the people of the country. He said the number of national highways had been doubled in the State and added that they had connected not only towns but also the villages of the State with National Highways.

The Prime Minister said they would soon build a regional ring road in the State. He said they had given 180 new railway lines to the Telangana State and they would set up a mega textile park in the State and the park would not only help the weavers of the State but also provide employment to the local unemployed youth.

Commenting on the National Education Policy (NEP) of the Union government, the Prime Minister said they had given importance to imparting of teaching in mother tongue of the students and added that it would help the parents of poor parents of the students to access medical and technological courses in Telugu language. He also asked the youth whether the poor mothers of the students would not feel happy if their children got the medical and technological education in Telugu language? (Maxim News)
