Govt urged to stop slaughter of animals in city

Hyderabad, July 4 (Maxim News): Bharatiya Prani Mitra Sangh secretary Mahesh Agarwal today said the TRS government has miserably failed to implement the Anti-Cow Slaughter law in the State.

Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Sangh secretaries Mahesh Agarwal and Jashraj Sri Sri Maal alleged that the State government had completely abandoned implementation of Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act of 1977. They demanded that the State government effectively implement the anti-cow slaughter law at least now. They said though the butchers were openly herding cows to the slaughter houses and butchering them openly every year on the occasion of Bakrid festival, the police and the municipal authorities remained silent spectators. They demanded that the law enforcing authorities take strict action against the offenders.

They also alleged that the police and GHMC authorities remained calm on cow slaughter as the ruling TRS party has an electoral alliance with the MIM party. They also alleged that the animals were being sold and slaughtered in the open places in several parts of Old City, Amberpet, Malakpet, Chaderghat, Langar Houz,Rachakonda, Cyberabad, Tolichowki and other places without permission.
