Governor Tamilisai performs CPR on a fellow passenger who complained of chest pain on the plane
Hyderabad, July 23: Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan came to the rescue of a passenger, who complained of chest pain in mid-air on a Delhi-Hyderabad-bound Indigo flight on Friday night.
According to reports, a passenger informed a flight attendant that he was not feeling well because of pain in his chest. Flight attendants made an announcement seeking the help of doctors for treating the passenger, who was on board.
Responding, Tamilisai came forward and performed CPR on him. She won the praise of fellow passengers for helping the passenger from a life-threatening heart attack. However, she told the flight staff to ensure a CPR kit is available on the plane and to collect details of doctors, who are traveling on the plane, well in advance so that they can be available in the time of emergency. “Even flight staff and people should undergo training on CPR,” she opined. Tamilisai is a doctor by profession prior to becoming Governor.
