Modi responsible for National Handlooms Day: Bandi Sanjay

Hyderabad, Aug.7 (Maxim News): State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was responsible for the organisation of National Handloom Day in the country. Sanjay made these remarks while addressing a gathering at Pochampally as part of his ongoing Praja Sangrama Padayatra. He promised to buy all the products of the weavers after coming into power in the State and added that they would geo tag all handlooms in their party’s rule. He also promised to build houses to all the homeless weavers in the State.

Targeting Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Bandi alleged that KCR was responsible for the suicides of weavers and called upon them to defeat TRS party in the next Assembly elections. He recalled that the hard work of social activists Vinoba Bhave and Vedire Ramachandra Reddy and leaders like Konda Laxman Bapuji had led to the establishment of weavers’ societies in the State and subsequent creation of livelihood opportunities to them.
