Rajagopal Reddy joined BJP to end TRS rule: Amit Shah

Hyderabad, Aug.21 (Maxim News): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that former MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party with the sole objective of ending the rule of the TRS party in Telangana.

He said that the defeat of the TRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar would be started by winning the by-election of the Munugodu Assembly constituency.

Shah made these remarks while addressing a public meeting of the BJP Munugodu Samarabheri here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Shah recalled that the Telangana State was liberated from the feudal rule of Razakars due to the efforts made by Congress party leader Sardar Vallabhai Patel.

Targeting Chief Minister KCR, the Union Minister alleged that the Telangana Chief Minister had retracted his promise of holding Telangana Liberation Day officially after the formation of Telangana State, but he did not fulfill his promise as he was scared of his political ally MIM party.

Shah said that KCR was known for his false promises in the State and added that the Chief Minister had not fulfilled any of his promises made to the people.

The BJP leader asked KCR what happened to his promises like ₹3,000 unemployment wage, construction of a super specialty hospital in Nalgonda district, and double bedroom houses for the poor people of the State.

He alleged that the Chief Minister was also taking away toilets sanctioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the poor people of the State.

KCR has also failed to fulfill its promise of making a Dalit leader the first CM of the State after coming into power, Shah pointed out.

Amith Shah said that KT Rama Rao, son of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, would become the next Chief Minister for Telangana if the TRS party retained power in the State and not a Dalit leader.

He alleged that only the family members of the Chief Minister got benefitted during the last eight years of rule while the youth were denied employment opportunities in Telangana.

Hoping that a leader of the BJP will become the next CM of the State, he said his party would hold the Telangana Liberation Day in an official manner on September 17 after coming into power. (Maxim News)
