Shashidhar Reddy Resign, likely to join BJP

Shashidhar Reddy Resign | In a major setback to grand old party Congress, Senior Congress leader, former four times MLA and former Minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy tendered his resignation to the party, today.

Addressing the press conference at his residence, Marri Shashidhar Reddy said he tendered his resignation to the party membership. He said that he tendered his resignation with a lot of pain and added that Congress failed as an opposition party.

Shashidhar Reddy said that he wrote a letter to Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and also the AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and elaborated on all the details, how the Congress party functioning in Telangana and also on the insulting comments against the senior party leaders by the TPCC President A. Revanth Reddy, He added that he took the decision for the welfare of Telangana only as the situation of the party is worsening day by day.

Shashidhar Reddy Resign

He asserted that his father was one among those who suggested the hand symbol to the Congress party. He also lashed out at Manickam Tagore and added that Congress lost all the elections after Uttam Kumar Reddy became the President. Recently, the Congress party expelled him from the party for six years on charges of anti party activities.

He is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

It is to mention here that the Congress expelled Shashidhar Reddy on November 18 for his anti-party activities.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Disciplinary Action Committee Chairman G. Chinna Reddy issued the expulsion order and sent the same to All India Congress Committee (AICC) for ratification.

The action came after Shashidhar Reddy met the Union Home Minister in Delhi during which he was accompanied by BJP state president Bandi Sanjay and party vice-president D.K. Aruna. (maximnews)
