CM KCR Gives Green Signal For Teachers’ Promotion And Transfers

Hyderabad, Jan 15 (Maxim News) Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has given the green signal for the promotion and transfer of teachers and also may take the decision of setting aside the controversial G.O 317 on which the teachers were fighting since the last one and a half year.

Minister for Education, Sabitha Indra Reddy who made a statement to this effect after a meeting with teachers’ unions, said that the schedule will be released in two to three days. The transfer process will be done in full transparency through counseling. The government has approved the transfers of government teachers as well as KGBV and model schools. Teachers’ unions expressed happiness at the government’s decision to the Chief Minister and the Ministers.

In the morning, leaders of teacher unions met Minister Sabita Indira Reddy and Harish Rao. She assured them that the transfers and promotions of the teachers will be completed within a month. She said that language scholars and PET posts will be filled by common seniority. and upgrade posts will be filled after the court verdict. The Minister made it clear that even though the transfers and promotions have taken place now, the teachers will continue in their current positions and they will be relieved on the last working day.
