Hyderabad, Sept 15 (Maxim News): The State government has decided to set up a special tribunal for HYDRA, this would be set up to crack down on illegal constructions, and encroaching on ponds and canals.
As part of it, the field is being prepared to give legitimacy to this organization. It has already been decided to introduce a bill on this in the upcoming legislative session.
The number of cases is increasing, the government has recognized the need for a tribunal to provide immediate relief to the builders and owners in those cases and also for the speedy resolution of lawsuits.
Moreover, the government is considering the suggestion of legal experts that it is better to set up a tribunal to reduce the burden on the High Court. If there are any objections to the verdict of the tribunal, it has been decided to allow going to the High Court.
The government has decided to provide powers related to revenue, irrigation, municipal, and other departments to HYDRA. It seems that some powers will also be transferred to it.
It is reported that a decision has been reached to appoint a retired High Court Judge as the Chairman of the tribunal. It seems that three experts from different fields will be the members and if necessary two more will be allowed.
The government is considering the possibility of mentioning the issue of tribunal in the ordinance. HYDRA Commissioner AV Ranganath said that it has been decided to set up HYDRA similar to the tribunals of Telangana RERA and Debt Departments. (Maxim News)
