Abhishek Sharma century | Hyderabad, April 21 (Maxim News): Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma blasted a stunning century in the IPL 2026 clash against Delhi Capitals at Uppal on Tuesday. He dominated the bowling from the start and gave SRH a dream launch after the team lost the toss and came in to bat first.
Abhishek played with full intent. He smashed boundaries all around the ground and kept the scoreboard moving at high speed. Moreover, he punished both pace and spin with ease. His aggressive knock lifted the crowd and put Delhi under pressure early in the innings.
Abhishek Sharma Turns Match Around
The left hander reached his hundred in just 47 balls, scoring 104 runs in a breathtaking innings. He mixed timing with power and never allowed the bowlers to settle. As a result, Sunrisers Hyderabad moved towards a massive total.
At the other end, Travis Head also supported well and added to the fast start. Together, the pair tore into the Delhi attack during the powerplay. Consequently, SRH gained complete control of the contest.
Delhi Capitals bowlers struggled throughout the innings. They failed to break the opening stand early. In addition, several bowlers leaked runs under pressure. Field placements also did not help as Abhishek kept finding gaps.
The Uppal crowd erupted when Abhishek completed his century. Fans stood up and cheered as he raised his bat. It was one of the finest knocks of the season so far.
