Hyderabad, April 21: Hyderabad Traffic Police announced temporary traffic diversions at Mehdipatnam due to ongoing skywalk construction near Rythu Bazar and the bus stop on the Secunderabad side. The diversions will remain in force on the nights of April 21 to 22 and April 22 to 23, from 12 midnight to 6 am.
Officials said the restrictions aim to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent congestion during the construction work.
Alternative Routes for Commuters
Vehicles coming from Masab Tank, NMDC and Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital towards Rethibowli and Nanal Nagar will divert near PVNR Expressway Pillars 2 and 3 at Azizia Mosque. Drivers must proceed via Meraj Cafe, turn right, and rejoin the main road near Pillar 15 at Mehdipatnam.
Similarly, traffic moving from Tolichowki, Langer Houz and Attapur through Nanal Nagar and Rethibowli towards Masab Tank will divert near PVNR Expressway Pillar 23. Vehicles can take a U turn, move on the opposite side, and merge back near Pillars 4 and 5.
Hyderabad Traffic Police urged commuters to plan travel in advance and use alternate routes during the restricted hours. Moreover, motorists should follow live updates on official social media handles.
Officials also requested citizens to cooperate with traffic personnel at the site. In case of emergencies, commuters can contact the traffic helpline at 9010203626.
