Hyderabad, July 14: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday conducted simultaneous searches at the residence and other premises linked to HMDA Chief Engineer Bachu Ravinder in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
The searches were launched following allegations that the senior official had allegedly amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to officials, ACB teams led by DSP Majid Ali Khan carried out searches at around 12 locations, including:
- The residences of Bachu Ravinder
- Properties linked to his family members and relatives
- The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) office
As part of the investigation, ACB officials are examining:
- Property-related documents
- Financial records
- Bank and investment details
- Other assets linked to the official and his associates
The searches are aimed at verifying whether the assets are proportionate to the officer’s known sources of income.
The search operations were continuing at the time of filing this report, and officials said further details would be released after the completion of the verification process.
The ACB has not yet disclosed the total value of the assets under scrutiny or whether any seizures have been made during the raids.
