Armoor bandh: Nizamabad Police impose Section 163

Armoor bandh | Hyderabad, June 29 (Maxim News) Nizamabad Police have imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS in Armoor town ahead of the bandh call given by several organisations. The restrictions will remain in force from 6 am on June 29 to 6 am on June 30.

The orders aim to maintain law and order in the town. Police expect various organisations to participate in the bandh. Therefore, they have strengthened security across sensitive locations.

According to the police, gatherings of five or more people are prohibited during the restriction period. Authorities have also banned rallies, protests and public meetings without prior permission.

Nizamabad Police Commissioner P. Sai Chaitanya, issued the orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Earlier, the provision was enforced under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Meanwhile, police have increased surveillance across Armoor. They have deployed additional personnel at key junctions and sensitive areas. Officers will also monitor the situation throughout the bandh period.

Furthermore, police warned that they will take legal action against anyone who violates the prohibitory orders. They urged residents to cooperate with the restrictions and help maintain peace.

Officials also appealed to organisers and the public to avoid unlawful gatherings. Instead, they asked people to follow police instructions and refrain from activities that could disturb public order.

The Police Commissioner said the restrictions are purely precautionary. He added that the department will review the situation after the bandh concludes. However, authorities will continue to monitor developments closely until normalcy returns. (Maxim News)
