Army Officers Call On HP Governor Dattatreya

Hyderabad, April 5 (Maxim News): A delegation of 20 Army Officers from National Defence College called on Himachal pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan in Shimla today. They were on a study tour from April 4 to April 10 of this month in Himachal Pradesh for “National Security and Strategic Studies” as a part of understanding India and Economic Security. The Governor felicitated every member of the delegation on the occasion.

Addressing them Dattatraya said that Himachal Pradesh was a peaceful hill state and added that the whole region was full of natural resources and its clean environment attracts everyone. He said that most of the people live in rural areas and were of spiritual and religious nature. He also said that the high traditions, culture and customs of the people of the state gave a distinct identity from others in the country. He hoped that each member of the team would enjoy a pleasant visit to Himachal and to learn many important things.

Dattatraya said that the sequence of learning was very important in life besides the humanitarian aspects. He said that such study tours were helpful in further strengthening the bonds of relationship between different countries.

Earlier, Air Vice Marshal AVM B.V. Upadhyay welcomed the Governor on behalf of the team and introduced every member. He also briefed about the objectives of the course and about the NDC. Jyoti Rana, the Additional Director of HP Institute of Public Administration was also present among others on the occasion. (Maxim News)
