Hyderabad, July 16: AIMIM president Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi has appealed to the people of Telangana and Hyderabad to complete the ongoing voter enumeration process well before the revised deadline. Addressing a press conference at Darussalam, he urged citizens not to wait until the last day to submit their forms.
The Election Commission of India has extended the last date for the enumeration exercise from July 24 to August 3. However, Owaisi advised voters to complete the process by July 30, stating that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) need sufficient time to verify and process the forms.
Owaisi appealed to all eligible citizens in Telangana to fill out the Enumeration Form. He said those whose names are missing from the electoral roll or who do not possess a Voter ID card can apply either online or offline.
He advised such applicants to submit Form 6 along with the required declaration form to the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO) in their respective ward or area.
During the press conference, Owaisi also announced that Namaz e Istisqa, a special prayer seeking rainfall, will be held on July 26 at 9:30 am at the Hockey Ground in Hyderabad
