Azad Day Celebrations at MANUU from November 7

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is celebrating the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of independent India, from November 7 to 11, 2022.

According to Dr. Ahamad Khan, Director, Centre for Urdu Culture Studies, the inaugural function will be held at MANUU Model School, Hyderabad on November 7, 11.00 am. Dr. Oudesh Rani Bawa, Eminent Writer & Columnist will be the chief guest and Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice- Chancellor, MANUU will preside. Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, MANUU is the guest of honour. Dr. Kafil Ahmad, Principal School is the coordinator of the programme.

Following a series of literary and cultural events, Azad Day Memorial Lecture will be organized on 11th November, 11.00 am at DDE Auditorium in connection with National Education Day. Dr. Ahamad Khan is the coordinator.

The other literary and cultural events being organized includes Essay Writing Competition (Coordinator Dr. Md. Athar Hussain), the Exhibition on Books and Rare Photographs of Maulana Azad (coordinator Mr. Habib Ahamad) & Film Screening on Maulana Azad (coordinator Mr. Rizwan Ahmad) which will be held on November 07. Quiz Competition will be held on November 09, Dr. Jarrar Ahamad is the coordinator. The Azad Walk (Mr. Meraj Ahmad, coordinator) will be held from Open Air Theatre to University Main Gate on November 10 whereas Prof. Mohammad Fariyad is the coordinator for Blood Donation Camp which will be organized at University health centre. Cultural programme for staff children will be held on November 8, Dr. Zafar Ahmad (Gulzar) is the coordinator.
