Azharuddin Challenges KCR | Hyderabad, July 2 (Maxim News): Telangana Minister for Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Mohammed Azharuddin challenged former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, BRS working president K.Tarak Rama Rao, former minister T. Harish Rao, and other former ministers to participate in an open public discussion on the allegations related to Gurukul institutions instead of pursuing legal action.
The minister said a transparent, fact based debate would provide the people of Telangana with the truth. He stated that the Congress government is ready to explain the entire procurement process and respond to every allegation with documentary evidence.
Azharuddin said public accountability is essential in a democracy. Therefore, he urged the BRS leadership to join an open discussion rather than rely on litigation. He maintained that the government has nothing to hide and is prepared to answer every question regarding the Gurukul institutions.
Telangana Lift Act receives court push
Meanwhile, the minister praised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for giving top priority to education. He said Telangana is earning recognition for its development initiatives and educational reforms under the present government.
Furthermore, Azharuddin reaffirmed his support for the Chief Minister’s vision to strengthen the education sector. He said the government remains committed to providing better educational opportunities for every student across the state.
He also stressed that empowering girls through quality education and equal opportunities remains one of his personal priorities. According to the minister, the Congress government is implementing several initiatives to improve educational standards and student welfare.
Congress leaders also assembled at Gun Park in Hyderabad and challenged the BRS leadership to participate in a fact based public discussion on the allegations concerning the Gurukul institutions. They said such a debate would help present the facts before the public.
The gathering was attended by Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Adluri Laxman Kumar, and Mohammed Azharuddin, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, MLAs Danam Nagender, V. Naveen Yadav, and Mettu Sai Kumar, besides District Congress Committee presidents and several senior Congress leaders.
The Congress leadership maintained that it remains committed to transparency and accountability while implementing reforms in the education sector. It also asserted that every allegation would be addressed with evidence before the people of Telangana. (Maxim News)
