Balapur kidnapping | Hyderabad, July 24 (Maxim News): A suspected kidnapping attempt in Balapur triggered panic after two men allegedly tried to lure children by offering them money. Alert local residents intervened, rescued the children, and handed the suspects over to the police.
According to preliminary information, the two men allegedly approached the children and offered them money to accompany them. When the children refused, the suspects reportedly abused them and continued trying to take them away.
Balapur kidnapping attempt under police investigation
Local residents noticed the incident and quickly intervened. They rescued the children and allegedly assaulted the two suspects before informing the police. The suspects reportedly sustained injuries during the assault.
Police took both men into custody and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances behind the incident and verify whether it was an attempted kidnapping.
The incident has renewed concerns among Hyderabad residents following recent child kidnapping cases reported in the city.
In one recent case, a toddler sleeping at Secunderabad Railway Station was allegedly kidnapped and traced nearly 20 days later. In another incident at Lingampally, an infant was allegedly snatched from the mother’s lap.
Police have not yet confirmed whether the Balapur suspects are linked to any previous kidnapping cases. The investigation is continuing. (Maxim News)
