Bars And Wine Shops to Remain Open Till 1 AM on New Year’s Eve!

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has given approval for wine shops to remain open until midnight on December 31, as part of New Year’s Eve celebrations. Bars and restaurants have also been permitted to operate until 1:00 AM. The Excise Department issued official orders on Saturday confirming these changes. Additionally, the government has greenlit various special events and programs to welcome the New Year.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has granted permissions for special events in its jurisdiction, subject to certain conditions.

Event organizers have been instructed to ensure that no drugs are used in parties and pubs. Higher authorities have also issued directives to prevent drug usage during New Year’s Eve events.

According to official sources, allowing wine shops to remain open until midnight is expected to generate significant revenue for the state government.
