Bathukamma Celebrations | Warangal, Oct. 19: A 60-year-old woman reportedly died of a heart attack during Saddula Bathukamma celebrations at Enumamula Kotacheruvu in Warangal district on Sunday evening.
The deceased, Suraram Sujatha, was a resident of Reddypalem village in Geesukonda mandal. She had arrived at the venue with her Bathukamma to celebrate the festival with local women.
According to local residents, Sujatha suddenly collapsed while participating in the celebrations. She was rushed to MGM Hospital for treatment.
However, she died while receiving treatment. Doctors reportedly confirmed that the cause of death was a heart attack.
The incident cast a pall of gloom over Reddypalem village.
