Hyderabad, July 17 (Maxim News): Bhatti Vikramarka, Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, distributed appointment letters to 247 newly selected Nursing Officers under the Insurance Medical Services Department at Sevalal Bhavan on Friday.
Labour Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy joined him for the event. The Deputy CM said healthcare and education spending is not free welfare. He called it a long-term investment in human resources that directly raises the state’s GDP.
According to Bhatti Vikramarka, the government also plans to fill more healthcare posts in the coming days.
These include 120 Civil Assistant Surgeons, 6 Dental Civil Surgeons, 99 Pharmacists, 34 Lab Technicians, and 54 ANMs. Furthermore, other paramedical staff posts will also come up for recruitment.
He said the state has already filled a record 76,000 government jobs since the current government took office.
Additionally, the Deputy CM announced a Rs 30 crore green channel release for ESI hospitals. He said Labour Minister Vivek Venkatswamy requested this fund to ensure uninterrupted medicine supply to poor patients. He also praised the Minister for issuing long-pending minimum wage revision orders soon after taking charge.
He said workers’ rights and wages had been severely neglected during the previous decade.
Bhatti Vikramarka Targets 44,029 Hospital Beds and 9 New Medical Colleges for Telangana
Monthly fund releases accelerate their construction. In addition, expansion works at NIMS are also a top priority. He said the state targets around 44,029 beds, making Telangana the highest average bed capacity state in India. Approximately 75 lakh people already access healthcare through IMS.
Furthermore, in the education sector, the government sanctioned 9 new medical colleges, 16 nursing colleges, and 28 paramedical colleges, in addition to the existing 16 medical colleges.
Each assembly constituency will get an Advanced Technology Centre. Meanwhile, the newly established Skill University in Hyderabad trains youth with state-of-the-art computerised machinery. Through TOMCOM, students preparing for overseas employment get free training and a Rs 2,000 monthly stipend.
Consequently, the Deputy CM said the State Public Service Commission underwent a complete overhaul to ensure transparent recruitment.
As a result, the 76,000 government jobs were filled with appointment letters issued to eligible candidates. He said this helps restore confidence among unemployed youth who had faced years of uncertainty.
Congratulating the newly appointed nursing officers, Bhatti Vikramarka said nursing is not just a profession. He called it a noble service to people in distress.
He urged the officers to use this opportunity well and bring positive change to the lives of lakhs of patients. He reaffirmed the government’s full budgetary commitment to healthcare and education without stepping back. (Maxim News)
