Bhatti Vikramarka urges unity ahead of municipal polls

Hyderabad, Jan 28 (Maxim News): Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Wednesday expressed confidence that the Congress will win the highest number of seats in upcoming municipal elections and accelerate state development.

Addressing the media at the Madhira constituency headquarters, Bhatti Vikramarka said municipal elections must be taken seriously by all MLAs. He stressed that party leaders should work in coordination to ensure victory.

He said the state government has given priority to urban infrastructure development. He added that the Praja Government is implementing welfare schemes not seen in any other state.

The Deputy Chief Minister said candidate selection should focus on winnability and ideological commitment. He stated that leaders who can effectively communicate government welfare initiatives to the public must be preferred.

Congress confident of big win in Telangana municipal elections

Bhatti Vikramarka said the Congress cabinet functions like a joint family with a shared vision for Telangana’s future. He clarified that decisions on alliances in municipal elections will be taken by PCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud.

He said the government has already implemented 90 percent of the promises made before elections. He cited schemes such as free RTC bus travel for women, supply of fine rice, Indiramma housing assistance of Rs 5 lakh, and enhancement of Aarogyasri coverage to Rs 10 lakh.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the government conducted Group I and Group II exams and completed recruitments, unlike the previous regime. He added that education remains the foundation of Telangana’s future.

He announced that Young India International Schools are being built in every constituency. Each school is coming up on 25 acres with an investment of Rs 200 crore.

Bhatti Vikramarka said the government released the Vision 2047 document under the PURE, CURE, and RARE integrated development policy at a global summit. He added that experts worldwide appreciated the vision.

He clarified that meetings held at Praja Bhavan were meant to address municipal election issues. He dismissed speculation over cabinet differences and said coordination remains strong.

On Singareni tenders, he said the government has already provided clarity with evidence. He asserted that the Congress will repeat its strong performance from village elections in municipal polls. (Maxim News)
