Big Shock To Revanth Govt: High Court Agrees To Hear Petition On 42 Per Reservation To BCs

Hyderabad, Sept 28 (Maxim News) The government has received a big shock over the GO issued by the government providing 42 percent reservation for BCs. There is tension everywhere after the Telangana High Court allowed the hearing on the House Motion petition filed to cancel the BC reservation GO. A bench headed by Justice Abhinandan Kumar Savili and Justice Vijaysen Reddy will hear the matter. It is known that Madhav Reddy had approached the High Court on BC reservations. He filed a petition challenging the GO of 42 percent reservation for BCs.

The High Court, which conducted the inquiry, made sensational comments. The court opined that it was not right to give a GO when the bill was pending with the Governor. The court suggested that the local body elections should be postponed if necessary. The court ordered that the courts should not interfere, that is, to postpone the elections for ten days. The government has given some time to express its opinion.

The BC Commission, BC association leaders, and BC leaders are expressing joy over the government bringing a GO on BC reservation. They say that this decision will give a great boost to BCs. Moreover, everything is ready for the local body elections. Since the reservations have been finalized, everyone thought that the local election notification could come at any moment. Now that another petition has been filed in the High Court regarding these reservations.. Will the 42 percent reservation for BCs be postponed again? Discussions have started. The petitioner alleged in his petition that allocating 42 percent reservation to BCs is unconstitutional. The petitioner alleged that the Revanth Sarkar government had violated the previous Supreme Court ruling that the total reservation should not exceed 50 percent. (Maxim News)
