BJP Is Using SIR As A Weapon: CM Revanth

Hyderabad, May 11 (Maxim News): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made it clear that coordination with the Central Government is essential for the development of the state . He commented that they will fight with the Center for the rights of Telangana. Today (Monday) CM Revanth Reddy had a chit chat with the media. In this chit chat, he responded to many key issues like the Central Government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP policies, state development, Maoist surrenders, women’s reservations, Regional Ring Road, Bandi Bhagirath case.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated several development works at HICC yesterday (Sunday). CM Revanth Reddy participated in a government program held at HICC along with Prime Minister Modi. He said that Prime Minister Modi accepted the development issues he mentioned in the program. He said that the central cooperation is needed for the development and welfare programs of the state, and he brought the same matter to Modi’s attention. He commented, ‘I am the Chief Minister who defeated the BJP. But the center has to be considered for the interests of the state.’ He said that in the last ten years, the KCR government has not asked for funds from the center, but they are asking for the rights of Telangana. He said that Prime Minister Modi’s meeting with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan was a private event.

The center should provide funds.

CM Revanth Reddy said that the central government has been requested to provide 50 percent funds for the regional ring road project. He said that some projects like Metro and Southern Part Regional Ring Road are still pending. He revealed that ADB funds have been received for Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, Airport clearances, Defense Lands, Musi project, and approvals for National Highways. He alleged that these works were delayed due to the negligence of the KCR government.

We will make Telangana a one trillion dollar economy.

CM Revanth Reddy said that he had asked Prime Minister Modi to make Telangana a one trillion dollar economy by 2034 and he agreed. He said that central cooperation is necessary to take the state towards development. The Prime Minister said that we will work together on development. CM Revanth Reddy clarified that the discussion between them was entirely related to development.

The Center has completely failed in foreign policy.

CM Revanth Reddy described the BJP as the ‘British Janata Party’. He alleged that the party’s ideology is to divide and rule. He said that Muslims, Christians and Maoists are also the people of this country and everyone has equal rights. He criticized that it is their policy to eliminate those who oppose the BJP’s ideology. He commented that it is the Congress’ policy to convince those who oppose their ideology and integrate them into the lives of the people. He flagged that the Center has completely failed in foreign policy. He said that the Center does not have a clear policy. He alleged that the BJP’s election policy is like Gemini Circus. He alleged that they are pushing the country into crisis due to inexperience and arrogance. He alleged that Modi has told us to eat air and live in air. He was angry that the BJP is using SIR as a weapon. He alleged that 90 lakh votes were removed in West Bengal. He mentioned that the BJP won only 3 seats in Kerala and 2 seats in Tamil Nadu. They were fired for using SIR to win in any state. CM Revanth Reddy questioned that BJP did not get a deposit in Jubilee Hills and what is the situation of BJP in municipalities.

Special measures for surrender of Maoists..

CM Revanth Reddy said that 818 Maoists have surrendered in Telangana, and there is no such situation anywhere in the country. He said that Congress has always been saying that bullets are not the answer, but ballots, and finally the Maoists have also come to the same path. He said that the Telangana government has taken special steps for the surrender of the Maoists. He also called on leaders like Ganapathi to come into the mainstream of public life. He said that if necessary, medical assistance and financial assistance will be provided. He emphasized that theirs is the party that gave its life for the country. He mentioned that Sonia Gandhi also pardoned those who killed Rajin Gandhi.

Prime Minister Modi’s comments are unfortunate

CM Revanth Reddy said that some of the words spoken by Prime Minister Modi were unfortunate. Muslims, Christians, other religions, castes, Maoists are not citizens of the country. Everyone has equal rights, he said. He was furious that it was their policy to eliminate those who opposed the BJP’s ideology. He emphasized that it was their policy to convince those who opposed their ideology and integrate them into public life. He said that killing people is not the solution. Muslims and Maoists are also partners in this country. He said that the Prime Minister should speak to increase unity in the country and it is not good to make comments that divide it. He accused this of being evidence of BJP’s discriminatory politics.

Criticism of the Center on foreign policy..

CM Revanth Reddy said that telling people not to buy gold and not to travel by plane is a failure of the central government. He criticized the center for completely failing in foreign policy. He suggested that the center take suggestions from the opposition parties and hold an all-party meeting to discuss. He accused Modi of pushing the country into a crisis due to his inexperience and arrogance.

That way, women’s reservations can be implemented.

He said that there is a possibility of implementing women’s reservation regardless of anything. He said that women’s reservation can be implemented according to the 2011 census. He said that there is a possibility of redistributing 543 Lok Sabha seats proportionally. He said that there is no longer a formula for the 50 percent increase. He said that everyone has objections to the increase in seats. He commented that the Jamili elections are likely to be held in 2029.

We have increased the speed of the investigation into the Bandi Bhagirath case..

The CM also responded to the case registered against Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s son Bhagirath. He said that the case was registered after the girl’s mother filed a complaint at the Pet Basheerabad police station. He explained that the FIR was registered on May 8 and the investigation was delayed due to security arrangements for Prime Minister Modi’s visit. He said that the investigation has now been expedited and a senior woman officer has been appointed as the investigating officer. CM Revanth Reddy clarified that no one is above the law and no one has been spared so far.

Criticism against RS Praveen Kumar

CM Revanth Reddy also criticized RS Praveen Kumar. He recalled that he was the one who had complained in the phone tapping case in the past and later called Prabhakar Rao a righteous man. He said that if RS Praveen Kumar had evidence, he could have given it to the Police Commissioner. He criticized that the investigation would not be conducted because of giving statements in front of microphones. He said that KTR did not leave even after being found carrying drugs in Bamarthi farmhouse. He questioned how KTR and RS Praveen Kumar would do police duty if they were vacant. He mentioned that RS Praveen Kumar had said in the past that he would break the rules. He said that cases would not be investigated based on leaders who give statements in front of microphones.

Farmers, on grain purchases..

CM Revanth Reddy said that farmers are facing difficulties due to untimely rains. However, he said that his government is also buying soaked paddy. He said that extensive discussions will be held to create awareness among farmers on crop rotation. He said that programs will be organized to provide explanations to farmers at the field level. He said that the urea should be given by the center and distributed by the state government.

Letter to the Center on the Tummidi Hatti issue..

CM Revanth Reddy revealed that he has already written a letter to the Maharashtra Chief Minister on the issue of the Tummidi Hatti project. He said that he has also sent a letter to Prime Minister Modi to ensure that the Maharashtra CM responds. He commented that it would be better if the Prime Minister took the lead when problems arise between the two states.
