Hyderabad, May 11: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for cooperation between the Centre and the States. He said there was no politics involved in the Prime Minister’s appeal and stressed that Telangana was ready to work with the Union government for development and welfare.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Revanth Reddy said he attended the Prime Minister’s official programme in Hyderabad on Sunday in a positive spirit. He stated that the Telangana government had no objection to working together with the Centre on projects that benefit people.
The Chief Minister said the State government was committed to contributing towards the Centre’s Vision 2047 and the goal of building a three trillion dollar economy under the Viksit Bharat initiative. He added that cooperative federalism was essential for faster growth and balanced development across the country.
Telangana Ready To Work With Centre
Revanth Reddy said both the Centre and State governments should move forward with a spirit of mutual cooperation and understanding. He noted that political parties may have different ideologies, but governments must work together for public welfare and infrastructure development.
At the same time, the Chief Minister pointed out that Telangana had not received the level of support it expected from the Centre despite several meetings held earlier. He said the State government has many development proposals and plans that need central assistance.
Revanth Reddy stated that if given an opportunity to meet the Prime Minister for two hours, he would explain Telangana’s long term development plans in detail. He expressed hope that the Centre would extend stronger support for the State’s infrastructure, irrigation, industrial and welfare projects.
The remarks came a day after Prime Minister Modi attended official programmes and a public meeting in Hyderabad, where he appealed for national unity and cooperation during challenging global economic conditions.
