Busted Organised Cricket Betting Racket: 3 Held 

Hyderabad, March 20 (Maxim News): On credible information the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone Team busted an organized cricket betting racket and apprehended (3) accused persons namely 1)Uday Simha Reddy, 40, occupation business   2)Mohd Faheemuddin  27 years, doing a private job and 3) M. Bhanu Prasad 29 years doing private jobs all resident of Dilsukhnagar at the parking place of Sweekar Hotel in the limits of Sultan Bazar PS who have been organizing and accepting Cricket betting from various punters for ongoing Legends Cricket Trophy,2024   in-between New York Superstar Strikers vs Rajasthan Kings  Final match held at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium and gain easy money illegally.

The material seized from the accused is Rs.1,50,000/-  (Cricket betting amount ), Laptops  (installed betting apps www.happybetplay.com & www.happycricket.com and 5 Mobile phones (used for online payments & installed betting apps)

According to S. Rashmi Perumal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, Hyderabad, the accused person B.Uday Simha Reddy, MD. Faheemuddin, M.Bhanu Prasad are residing in the limits of Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad.  They know online cricket betting systems. Their incomes are not sufficient to spend lavishly.

To gain easy money illegally through betting, through known sources obtained betting app IDs & passwords of www.happybetplay.com & www.happycricket.com and installed them on their laptops and organized cricket betting. They have been accepting betting amounts from various punters and sharing betting IDs, accepting betting amounts through Google Pay, and PhonePe. Sometimes their collection agent M.Bhanu Prasad directly collects betting amounts from punters.

On 19-03-2024 evening hours the accused persons while accepting betting amount for the ongoing Legends Cricket Trophy,2024 held in-between New York Superstar Strikers Vs Rajasthan Kings  Final match meanwhile on tip caught them and seized the above material from their possession.

The apprehended 3 persons along with seized material were handed over to SHO Sultan Bazar PS for taking necessary action.

The apprehension was made under the supervision of S. Rashmi Perumal, N. Ramakrishna, Inspector of Police, Ch. Naveen Kumar SI of Police and staff of Central Zone Task Force, Hyderabad. (Maxim News)
