Chada Hails KCR Statement At Christmas Dinner; Seeks His Stand On CAA

Hyderabad, Dec.21 (Maxim News): CPI secretary Chada Venkat Reddy appreciated Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on his statement during Christmas dinner at LB Stadium that Telangana was a secular State and gave equal priority to all religions.

The CPI leader urged the Chief Minister to come clear on his stand on CAA protests in the State. Being a secular state, the State government cannot keep quite on the public protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, he said, adding that since the TRS MPs voted against the bill on the CAA in Parliament, now KCR has to disclose his stand on the same.

So far, nine Chief Ministers said they will not implement the CAA, including Bihar and Odisha, who supported NRC. In such a case, KCR cannot keep quite on the issue, he added. (Maxim News)
