Hyderabad, July 26: BJP MP D. K. Aruna on Sunday accused the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of attempting to politicise the NEET examination issue for electoral gains. She alleged that both parties were trying to mislead students and create unrest in the country.
Addressing the media, D. K. Aruna claimed that the Congress and AAP were using the alleged NEET examination irregularities to incite students and gain political mileage.
She alleged that the opposition parties were presenting the issue as though examination paper leaks had never occurred in the past. According to her, the controversy was being used to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and create political instability.
The BJP MP also criticised the Telangana Congress government, alleging that it had failed to address corruption and governance issues in the state. She claimed that the Centre had extended significant support to the state government and said decisions taken by the Union government were aimed at protecting students’ interests.
Referring to previous examination paper leak incidents in Telangana, Aruna questioned why those responsible during the previous BRS government did not resign. She also asked why Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was not speaking about earlier paper leak cases.
The BJP leader further criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of using student issues for political purposes. She alleged that his actions were intended to provoke students rather than provide solutions.
