Chada Slams CM For “Suppressing” RTC workers

Hyderabad, Nov.9 (Maxim News): CPI Telangana Secretary and former MLA Chada Venkat Reddy today criticized Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for trying to suppress the RTC workers during Million March Chalo tank bund protest and arrest of leaders. The arrests are equal to unannounced emergency in the State, he charged and demanded the government to hold talks to end RTC strike followed by court orders.

In a statement here the former legislator has said that emergency like situation prevailed in the state with RTC strike and adamant attitude of the KCR government.

He said that pre arrests of the leaders and suppression during RTC JAC Million March at Tank Bund are violation of democratic norms. Reddy condemned the police for lathi charge and high handedness on the RTC workers in the Chalo tank bund protest. He flayed the government for ignoring court orders to hold talks and only to suppress the striking RTC workers.

The CPI leader appealed to people to welcome the historic Ayodhya judgment by five member SC bench after considering all witnesses and bases. Though the court verdict cannot satisfy all sections in a democracy, we have to approve it and remain united and maintain restraint for peace, he added. (Maxim News)
