Mumbai, Sept. 23: Actors Rakesh Bedi and Deepak Qazir Kejriwal have expressed concern over the ongoing dispute within the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA).
The controversy involves CINTAA president Poonam Dhillon, actor Upasana Singh and other members over the functioning of the association. The dispute has also involved the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
Kejriwal, a former CINTAA office-bearer, questioned FWICE’s involvement in the association’s internal affairs. He argued that CINTAA and FWICE are separate organisations and said FWICE had no right to interfere in CINTAA’s internal matters.
He also said the dispute within CINTAA had been continuing for years and linked the present situation to issues surrounding elections and earlier commitments within the organisation.

Rakesh Bedi also spoke about the ongoing developments and expressed disappointment over the dispute among members.
Bedi said the situation was sad and stressed the importance of actors supporting one another within the industry. He also expressed confidence that CINTAA would continue functioning despite the differences among its members.
The dispute has intensified in recent months, with several CINTAA executive committee members resigning and disagreements emerging over the association’s leadership and elections.
FWICE had also announced steps concerning CINTAA, while CINTAA members and its legal representatives have presented differing positions on the status of the association’s committee.
The latest comments from Bedi and Kejriwal come as the disagreement continues to draw attention within the Hindi film and television industry.
