“Every medicine must be genuine, traceable, and safe,” he stated, spotlighting the pivotal role of advanced technologies such as RFID, blockchain, and serialization.

He proposed two strategic pathways to address global challenges:

  1. Digital Traceability for Developing Nations – Through scalable technologies and public-private partnerships.
  2. Global Harmonization – By aligning with international standards like GS1 and ICH, and fostering mutual recognition without compromising national interests.

As moderator of the insightful plenary session, “Navigating Disruption: Innovation in Pharma Supply Chains,” Chakravarthi led a robust discussion with experts from Takeda, LEO Pharma, New Bridge Pharmaceuticals, and the European Co-Packers Association. The session explored AI-powered planning, ethical automation, and the rising role of third-party logistics (3PL) in creating resilient supply chains.
