CM Committed To Uplift SC, ST, BC & Minorities: Koppula

Hyderabad, Sept.16 (Maxim News): Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar today informed the Assembly during budget session that the TRS Government was determined for development of SC, ST, BC and Minorities in the State.

“We are allocating adequate funds through sub plans and implementing plans for welfare of these sectors”, Eshwar said. The SCs are facing poverty and deprived of support and help in the society. To check the perennial problem, the KCR Government has come up with unique programs for their welfare. “We are going ahead with such programs successfully by using SC Development Fund for the welfare of the SCs in the State, he said.

Besides, by bringing a new Act for the SC Welfare, the government has allotted 16.48 per cent funds against 15.45 per cent as per their population. The minister also said Rs 37,378 crore will be spent for 2019-20 in this regard. He also said Kalyana Lakshmi, first of its kind in the country, was able to provide timely financial succor to the poor families to perform marriages of their girl children. “KCR got the credit of giving Rs 1 lakh for the purpose and so far 1.14 lakh families were benefited through the scheme, he added.
